Uses an unusual purple mauve-coloured under glaze, with crane motifs and lines hand-painted in white slip on both sides
The cup depth is up to the footed section
Can be appreciated simply as a decorative object or add a small flower frog to use as a vase
In Japanese legend, Tsuru (cranes) are thought to live for over 1,000 years and signify longevity, good fortune and happiness
Tanchozuru (red-crested cranes) are known to mate for life, forming strong, loyal partnerships; a symbol for long-lasting marriages
