Glass Wind Chime with Wisteria
Pre-loved Traditional Edo Furin (Wind Chime)
Edo Furin are glass wind chimes that have been made since the Edo period (1603-1868)
Each are individually hand-crafted and the edges are intentionally left un-smoothed to enhance sound quality
Every furin differs slightly in sound, regardless whether they have the same shape and design
The ringing of furin is especially enjoyed in Japan during the hot and humid summer months, and are appreciated as cooling, soothing sounds
Japanese wisteria can live for over 100 years, therefore considered auspicious plants
There is also wordplay with the Japanese word for Wisteria, Fuji, which can also mean immortality (written using different characters)

CONDITION - GOOD
Some wear to the wisteria painted on inside of glass. Overall good condition.
Do not to wipe the inside of glass as this may remove the painting. Please be careful when handling the un-smoothed base of the glass.
Vintage, antique and pre-loved items may show some signs of aging or wear. Please inspect the photos carefully before making your purchase.
