  • Lovely original hand-drawn artwork – medium appears to be ink or watercolor

  • Takeda Shingen (1521–1573) was born into a powerful clan from the Kai province (modern-day Yamanashi Prefecture)

  • He became a daimyo (feudal lord) and one of the most famous military leaders of Japan during the Sengoku “Warring States” period (1467–1615)

  • He is depicted holding a kanabo (iron club), a widely recognized image of Shingen, though it is unclear whether he actually wielded one or if this is rooted in folklore

  • Artist unknown, stamped on bottom left

  • Comes with original frame, including grey matting and a glass front panel

Vintage, antique and pre-loved items may show some signs of aging or wear. Please inspect the photos carefully before making your purchase.
