  • They can be made from a variety of materials including wood, seeds and natural stones

  • The beads this set are made of a fragrant wood called Sedan (Chinaberry or Japanese bead Tree in English), along with three Cha-suisho (Smokey Quartz) beads

  • The exterior of the box is labeled “Gonenju” and the interior labels read “Sedan” and “Cha-suisho”
