"Bunraku" is a form of traditional Japanese Puppet theatre
Kanji Characters above the male spell “Bunraku”
Both characters protrude from the vase, adding interesting dimension to the piece
Most likely original purpose was as a Tokkuri (Sake decanter) but can also be used as a bud vase
