Koransha is a ceramic company based in Arita, Saga Prefecture
First founded in 1689 by Matashiro Fukagawa, it was then called Eizaemon Fukagawa and was one of the very first potteries to begin porcelain production in Arita
Their very finely painted porcelain are special pieces and considered artworks
“Koransha” is translated as “The Company of Scented Orchids”, their iconic orchid mark a symbol of their heritage and craftsmanship
This particular 11-sided vase design is currently out of production
