  • Vintage from 1980s-90s

  • From Yuzawa, an onsen (hot spring) village in Niigata Prefecture

  • Bishamonten, also known as Tamonten, is the most famous Buddhist deity in Yuzawa Onsen and enshrined at Bishamon-do (Kichijozan Fuko-ji Temple)

  • As one of the Four Heavenly Kings, he is responsible for guarding the north

  • He is one of the Seven Lucky Gods, Shichifukujin as well as the god of war

  • Said to bring victory, attracting good luck with money and warding off evil

  • Sticker reading “Yuzawa” on base
